Error correction allows a QR code to be scanned even when partially damaged. Low (L) handles 7% damage with the smallest code size. Medium (M) handles 15%, Quartile (Q) handles 25%, and High (H) handles 30% damage. Higher levels create denser codes. Medium is a good balance for most uses.
